I have take no issue with them taking forever, it's their game and their company, and backers knew (or should have known) the risks.īut them labelling it as beta sounds to me as an intentional attempt to obfuscate the state of their development, and them not respecting their own refund policy (there are reports of people not having received their refund after 2 years since their request) is disgusting.īack in 2013 crowd funding was new and while a few single player games had delivered MMORPGs were a big unknown. Maybe I have to create an MMO, too.Īt this rate come back in 2026 and it might be in beta. I didn't like social media platforms, so I created one that I'd personally like. Hence, crowdfunding is my only hope for the foreseeable future. Problem is no one else, besides kickstarter projects, is willing to invest on the type of MMOs that I like. So investment did come but by a shit company ![]() Most, don't know how to go about it though and instead complain that people aren't coming to them when that does happen.Įdit: The only MMO I backed was Fractured and that may have been a mistake as it seems that they may have been bought by Gamingo of all people. The problem with crowd funding a MMO is it takes so long and is such a huge investment that a Kickstarter alone won't be enough and some I think hope that they will get investment opportunity's like Zenith did with Playstation. Single player games, hell yes, do so here and there. ![]() Board games, for sure, do so quite regularly. I believe in Crowd Funding if its not MMO's. I won't even download the game if it gets released. A joke should either make you laugh or terrified.
